This is my take on the Saturday Sketch challenge (4 July) posted on the Kaisercraft blog. I picked out my photo yesterday (Sunday) but didn't even know I would start this tonight, let alone complete it! Ok, it IS nearly midnight *yawns* but fortunately it's the school holidays and we don't have to be out the door at 8.30am tomorrow LOL.
I had these On The Dot papers sitting in my stash and they just jumped out at me saying "use me, scrap me" tonight, and the colour scheme goes nice with this fun photo of Toby. I made a giant lollipop for the circle element in the bottom right hand corner, and used lots of distressing techniques on the edges. I was inspired by the lovely Renee Ludlow for the edging of my LO, and some new techniques I used tonight were stapling the ribbon in the top left corner, machine stitching the ric-rac, and free-hand cutting a scallop edge then doodling on it.
Now if only I could upload my photos to the User Gallery at Kaisercraft..... I keep getting error messages and it's MOST frustrating.
